Founded in St. Louis, Oasis Intergenerational Tutoring has grown into a national model for intergenerational connection and is now one of the largest programs of its kind. Since 1989, the program has impacted the lives of more than 525,000 children—and continues to expand its reach each year. Our tutoring program is now offered in 22 cities across 15 different states, and is supported by more than 3,000 tutors. Additionally, 93% of students participating in Oasis tutoring sessions showed an improvement in their reading scores.
