About the Instructor

Geoffrey Morrison is a lifelong educator and historian, trained at Saint Louis University. After earning his PhD in 1971, he began his career as a history teacher, launching a vocation that would span decades in both the classroom and school administration.

Driven by a passion for social justice and equity in education, Geoffrey became actively involved in desegregation efforts within St. Louis Public Schools. His work focused on creating equal educational opportunities for African-American students. A research historian by training, Geoffrey has always brought a thoughtful and contextual approach to education, emphasizing the broader social and historical forces that shape our lives. His legacy is one of dedication—to history, to teaching, and to building a more just and equitable society.
