With a diverse career that spans both academia and industry, this professional began his journey as a mathematician and systems analyst with the U.S. Coast Guard and the Department of Defense, Army. He transitioned into academia, teaching mathematics at esteemed institutions such as Salisbury University, the University of Rhode Island, and Indiana University – Malaysia, before further expanding his teaching portfolio in marketing at Central Connecticut State University and Rhode Island College, retiring as Professor Emeritus in 2021. His expertise also extends to the marketing arena, where he has worked as a marketing research analyst and consultant for notable firms including Donneley Marketing, Advanced Database Marketing, Strategic Mapping, ADVO, Young and Rubicam, IBM, and Information Experts. Beyond his professional roles in mathematics and marketing, he has enriched his community involvement as a water safety and karate instructor, and as a Distinguished Toastmaster with Toastmasters International, having participated in several public speaking contests and delivered lectures at various workshops. His academic interests include exploring the impact of storytelling on the college curriculum—a passion that has led him to publish research papers and an electronic textbook titled “Creativity in Marketing”—while his consulting work emphasizes the critical role of storytelling in enhancing sales and presentation processes.
