Wilhelm Gustloff: Shipwreck History

The worst maritime disaster in history is also one of the least known.  On January 30th, 1945 the German ship Wilhelm Gustloff was torpedoed and sunk by the Soviet submarine S-13.  Over 9,000 German refugees died as a result.  Learn the sad story of how thousands of German refugees died in the icy waters of the Baltic Sea while trying to escape the wrath of the avenging Red Army at the end of WWII.
