Oasis tutors from across the St. Louis region gathered at the Center of Clayton on June 25 and at Fort Zumwalt in St. Charles County on July 1 to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Oasis Tutoring and kick off an area-wide campaign to recruit tutors for the 2014-2015 school year. Excitement built as the tutors brainstormed about people who would make great tutors (love kids, love reading – no teaching experience necessary) and where to get the message out.

Oasis provided newly designed  recruiting materials to the 68 Recruiter Tutors who participated in the rallies and mailed supplies to those unable to attend. Equipped with brochures, tell-a-friend cards, posters, Q & A sheets, sample posts for Facebook and Twitter and announcements for newsletters, church bulletins etc., the eager recruiters will seek new tutors for the 36 school districts that participate in the St. Louis area.
